Trenton we are sitting here thinking about how we all need to lose weight. We are watching the Daytona 500 and eating...chicken wings, blue cheese, pizza, meatballs and chips with dip and of course......BEER :) Maybe tomorrow :) Pat, Dave and Karen
Years ago I decided that I would not allow my weight to go over 200 lbs unless I became a body builder or I was laid up with an injury for a long time. Well, I am a bodybuilder, but unfortunately I've been building in one area a little too much: my gut. To get back to being fit I have started the process of weight reduction. I'll do it the same way I did it 2 years ago. I won't be counting calories, fat, protein and carbs as closely this time now that I have a feel for what I need to do from experience. That is, unless a few weeks go by and my progress is too slow. I'll be tracking my exercise and weight on this blog to keep myself honest and to have a record to look back on. I will periodically post the concepts that made me successful the last time as well. I think that will help me stay focused. It may be of interest to others, too. It's time for the 200 lb. Man to make a comeback!
In the Spring of 2007 I joined a weight loss pool with some friends. Twenty-two of us put in $10 and gave ourselves just over two months until the final weigh in. The winner would be the one who had lost the greatest percentage of their original weight. I lost 42.8 pounds, never went hungry, never skipped a meal, never compromised my health with unsafe dieting practices. Needless to say, I took off the weight and took home the cash. Stay tuned for how I did it...
